Gemma Rogers is a singer, songwriter, performer & playwright.

She was part of the Bush theatre’s emerging writers group in 2015. She took the mini-folk musical she wrote, ‘London Town,’ to the Vaults & Wilderness festival and is currently working on a full length version.

Her band The Mil Men came together while they all lived in a squat on Milman Road. The quids would run out of the meter so there was nothing else for it but to sit around and tell stories in the darkness – no one could afford candles either.

The tales are based on real life events. The make up of the band changes to match each venue and event.

Gemma plays (almost) wherever she is asked, from the London literary circuit to the festival season. You might catch them at Hampstead Theatre or down the Rabbit Hole at Glastonbury.

This summer is set to be another colourful one. Watch this space.
